How can I explain I am? After 36 years I sometimes think that I've discovered just the shadow of myself....
In past I was looking for happiness, after years of emptiness now I'm "just" looking for serenity...Isn't it terrible that the more you're looking for something the less you find it? I use to say, about myself, that I am a free spirit looking for a sweet imprisonment, no keys, no bars, no walls, no doors, just a woman's lovely arms that embrace me in a warm, endless hug...Am I asking too much?

In my life I ALWAYS use my heart rather than my mind, so the passion for what I love has supremacy over rational thought.
My wish is to make my photos be the way for my passions to flow from me to the people who look at them...I know it might sound pretentious but it isn't... I think that one of the main goals in a lifetime is to share our passions with other people. Passion is the only fire that should burn and HAS to burn the entire world. Too often our hearts turns to ice which avoids the flame of passion to spread...I put passion in every single aspect of my life, my job, my hobbies, my relationship. Do you like the idea? Well, it sounds better than it is in reality...it's hard to be a person like me living in a world where mind and reason seem to be the only acceptable ways to achieve results, it's hard to face people who "kill" my enthusiasm with indifference every day...
I sometimes feel like an "alien" in this society but then I think of my friends, wonderful people who share with me the same taste of life, living passionately they give me the strength to carry on...
My first passions (as you can guess watching my photos) have been aviation and airplanes... I certainly learnt to recognize military airplanes before learning to read & write...
The biggest love I nourish in my heart is a true passion for the FRECCE TRICOLORI, the Italian Air Force Aerobatic Team...Why? Simply because every time I see those guys up there in the sky I feel a deep sense of pride to be Italian, they are everything I love about aviation.
My passion for photography has grown out of my passion for airplanes:  in fact I started to take photos during airshows.
My first attempts were real disasters! I never succeeded in achieving the "quality" I wanted for my photos..therefore I decided to give up photography and to start making videos. I bought a Canon XL1S video camera and I made some great videos! After a short time, I started to get bored of videos. I understood I preferred to try and seize JUST "the moment" not the whole action. I sold my XL1S and bought a DSLR Canon 300D and I started to take pictures again. That was the beginning of a fire that has never stopped burning inside me!
One year later I sold the 300D to buy a Canon 20D (my present "love"). Later I have bought some wonderful lens: the EF 17-40L F4, the EF 100 F2.8 Macro and the EF 100-400 F4.5-5.6 L IS and an MTO 1000-10 ("powered" by a Kenkoo MC4 2x extender). click here to see my equipment
I'm discovering the power of photography every single day of my life. I usually take photos of almost everything, airplanes, moon, portraits, lightnings & thunderbolts, cats, micro world and so on! Unfortunately I'm not a professional but just an amateur and there is so much I still don’t know and want to learn, which will probably be true forever... But I try to improve my technique and to learn something new every day. I've discovered that with my photos I can share my passion with many watchers, which is magic!
My second passion is drama: I play as an amateur actor in a theatrical group called LA GIOSTRA. Perhaps if you come to Vicenza you may enjoy one of our performances...
